Her life was not an easy one; Wayward, used Samaritan. A history of relationships; Living in adultery’s grip. To Jacob’s well she went to draw, And sitting on the well she saw A Man, who spoke to her, alone With honesty and tender tone. He claimed to be Messiah, Christ, With water of everlasting life; A water that would satisfy Thirsty souls and pacify. He came for worshippers to find; To love God will heart, soul, and mind, To turn from sin and holy live; Honoring Him whom life gives. She left to share what she now knew And led others to the Water, too. She told what He’d of her perceived, And others went, saw, believed. Jesus, let me like her be found, In an instant turned around, Convicted of my many sins, Taking Living Water in. Unashamed the world to tell Where my hope securely dwells. May my words and ways and praise Draw others to the Lord, I pray.
